Karren Abrams, Ayurvedic Practitioner, YTT 500, founder of AH-HA Wellness, Love Earth Together, and Ahara for Homeless, is passionate about serving all beings as One Universal Family. She has been a faculty instructor and student clinic supervisor at the Āyurvedic Institute, under her beloved mentor, Dr. Vasant Lad, since 2019. She brings ingenuity and delight to her work, whether in the classroom, clinic, or as a professional healthcare writer and playwright.

Karren has contributed to organizations such as NYU Langone Hospital, AHRC, and Breathe Life Healing Centers, offering yoga, nutrition, and self-healing tools. With certifications in yoga (RYT), Children’s Yoga, Yoga for Troubled Youth, and Level III Reiki, she also holds Level II certification in Medicinal Essence Therapy. She was a co-partner of a lodge and creative arts community in the Adirondacks, where she led a theater company, The Frog Pond Theatre, and a children's theater school, The Pollywog Players, created original plays in over 25 schools as an artist-in-residence for The Essex County Arts Council—and was the first woman president of the AuSable Forks Rotary Club of NY. During her performing days in NYC, Karren studied with and assisted Lee Strasberg, was a principal performer in The Wild Duck Theater Company led by Kim Stanley, and was a member of The Viennese Operetta Company of NY, performing at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.

She is a dedicated lifelong student who enjoys exploring Veda chanting with her beloved teacher, Shantala Sriramaiah of Veda Studies, Jyotisha with Steven Highburger, and continued Āyurvedic studies and herbal medicine with Dr. Ramadas, Dr. Om Prakash, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Dr. Claudia Welch, Dr. Vignesh Devraj, Dr. Aviva Romm, and other esteemed educators. With deep devotion, she bows to her birth mother, Jacqueline Rachel, and her greatest teacher, Mother Gaia. 


She brings creativity, deep wisdom, and a heart-centered approach to Matre Sofia's Stewardship Circle, reflecting her passion for serving all beings as One Universal Family.
