Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova
Sacred Advisor
Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova has been devoted to the Conscious Birth movement for over four decades. From 1982 to 1989, she was part of a small group who helped organize the birth camps on the Black Sea in Russia, where women birthed their babies in shallow lagoons, often accompanied by wild dolphins.
Her film Birth As We Know It has been widely used in HypnoBirthing classes around the world, offering a window into gentle, connected birthing practices. Since 2004, Elena has been sharing her approach, Birth Into Being, with individuals and birth professionals across 22 countries. This method centers on supporting conscious and subconscious healing to reduce complications and increase connection in the birthing process.
Elena’s work has been quietly influential, and she has been honored to receive recognition such as the ‘Legendary Leader’ Award, to be featured as one of 30 grassroots women in the UN-sponsored book Force Such As the World Had Never Known, and to speak at gatherings dedicated to conscious change.
As a member of Matre Sofia’s Board of Advisors, Elena offers deep insight into sacred birthing, embodied healing, and global movement-building—gently supporting our vision of restoring wholeness at the beginning of life.
